On March 18th, 2011, The Rector of Gunadarma University, Indonesia prof. E.S. Margianti and delegation have visited the Branch of G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent.  This visit is a logic continuation of the dialogue which began last year. The reason of visiting this university is the obligation binding our universities within the framework of Agreement of Cooperation between Universities signed in 2010”.
An official meeting was held between prof. Kalandar Abdurakhmanov, Director of the Branch of G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent and prof. E.S. Margianti, Rector of Gunadarma University, Indonesia. Vice-Rector on Science and Innovations prof. Zokirova N.K. and Head of the International Relations Service prof. Shermukhamedov took part in this meeting on behalf of the Branch of G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent. Gunadarma University was presented by prof. Dr. Didin Mukodim, Pembantu Rector IV, officer of University Dr. Misdiono, rector assistants, and   representatives of the Embassy of Indonesia in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting academician Abdurakmanov K.Kh. informed the guests about the new status of the higher educational institution - Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov and the activity of its Branch in Tashkent, about students, faculties and specialties.
Abdurakmanov  K.Kh also mentioned the visits in Indonesia, where he had been to several times, in particular about visiting the  Bali tourism institute. Director of the Branch expressed his wish of further promotion of cooperation between two universities within the signed agreement in 2010.
Given agreement stipulates the bilateral cooperation between the two higher educational institutions within the signed agreement in the sphere of conducting scientific and research works, representing mutual interest, short-term exchange of teachers and scientists for scientific research, consultations, contributing education of scientific personnel, organization of joint seminars, symposia and discussions of projects and programs of mutual interest and also the exchange of students.
The response speech was made by Prof. Margianti, Rector of Gunadarma University, Indonesia. She expressed her gratitude to the director for a warm welcome, and emphasized that she was glad to visit the Branch again.
