The Doctoral Thesis Defence of Information Technology with Doctoral Candidate Ridha Iskandar and Puspitodjati Sulistyo
Doctoral Gunadarma University Information Technology conducted doctoral thesis defence of Information Technology on May 5, 2010 in Auditorium D Gunadarma University Jl. Margonda Raya Pondok Cina Depok.
Doctoral candidates in doctoral thesis defence this time was Ridha Iskandar present dissertation with the title: "ECG signal compression using DPCM and the LZW algorithm," with a commission consisting of Prof. supervisor. Dr. Sarifuddin Madenda, as Promoter, Dr. Eri Prasetyo Wibowo and Prof. Dr. I Wayan Simri Wicaksana as Co-Promoters.
In his presentation, doctoral candidate Rida Iskandar explains that his research discusses the conversion analog to digital technology in ECG provide advantage in storage and transmission data among devices. Storage and transmission process can be executed manually or via a network. Refer to the results of this dissertation, DPCM combine with LZW provide the best result in compression ratio.
Based on the results of the trial senate, the doctoral candidate Ridha Iskandar passed with very satisfactory results.
Doctoral candidate at the second session is to present Puspitodjati Sulistyo dissertation with the title: "Complete Permutation Cycle Generation Algorithm for Certain With a Number of Elements As Variable". The Commission consists of Prof. Dr. Djati Kerami as promoter, as co-promoter Dr. Asep Juarna and Dr. Ernastuti.
Doctoral Candidate Sulistyo Puspitodjati presented on a full generation cycle permutation using compilation ECO method, previously researched topic by Baril (2006) and Poneti (2008). In this dissertation represents Poneti standpoint of research, which is generated by permutation cycle compilation on the number of cycles and equipment. This research is expected to be a foundation for research on permutation cycles.
Based on the results of the trial senate, then the candidate has passed the Doctoral Sulistyo Puspitodjati cum laude with the results.
