Thesis Defence of Doctoral in Psychology Science: Inge Andriani

Doctoral Program Gunadarma University conducted Doctoral Thesis Defence in Psychology Science on August 12th, 2016 in the Auditorium at Campus D of Gunadarma University with a doctoral candidate is Inge Andriani, in her dissertation entitled Model of Cyberbullying Behavior That Affected by External and Internal Factors.

This study aimed to test the model of cyberbullying behaviors that are influenced by external factors, namely the perception of parenting authoritative and internal factors, namely self esteem and internet self efficacy as mediation variable and gender as a moderating variable. This quantitative research with method of data analysis using Structural Equation Model (SEM). Sampling of this study are students of class IX in SMPN 4 South Tambun where sampling is through focus on group discussion in advance.

The data show that Internet users has increased reaching 63 million people in Indonesia today (Official Site Kementerian Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, 2015). From that number show 95% is used to access social media and it is youth who are using social media. Teens who use social media is easy to be exposed for bullying behavior in the Internet, known as cyberbullying.

The results of this study show that the model is expressed tested (fit) with a chi-square value and the value of probability. Based on the value of GFI, TLI and CFI also stated test model fit where the values ??are all above 0.9 and the value of RMSEA 0.0000 (<= 0.005).

Based on the findings in this study that empirically known that model of authoritative parenting perception through self esteem and internet self efficacy, also moderated by gender significantly influence toward the emergence of cyber bullying behavior have been tested.

It can be concluded that the model is able to explain cyberbullying behaviors are influenced by perceptions of authoritative parenting, self esteem and internet self efficacy as well as gender as a factor that strengthens.

Based on the results of the senate meeting, Inge Andriani as a doctoral candidate with the supervising commission Prof. Dr. Hera Lestari Mikarsa as Promotor and Prof. Djamaludin Ancok, PhD. as Co-Promotor graduated with honors predicate. Inge Andriani is 12th Doctor of Psychology Science in Gunadarma University.
